UFW Wins Election Subject to Investigation by Regional Director

On January 19^th, 2010, the United Farm Workers (UFW) conducted a representation election at Kawahara Nursery, Inc.

The tally cast the following results:  70 for the UFW, 68 for No Union; and 28 votes were Unresolved Challenged Ballots.

However, the number of challenged ballots was sufficient to affect the outcome of the election.  As a result, the Regional Director will have to conduct an investigation on the remaining challenged ballots in order to determine the outcome of the election.
